A global arts, culture, and travel website with 3 million monthly unique visitors.

Texas Director of Culture: Editorial

  • Founded the new Texas Hub and managed all aspects of the editorial process including content flow and quality, article promotion, copy editing, SEO, and social media growth.
  • Oversaw the assignment, scheduling, and publication of over 600 articles.
  • Recruited, trained, and managed over 200 writers from more than 30 cities in Texas.
  • Curated weekly and monthly event lists and 100+ event write ups.

 

Austin Underground, Texas Student Television (September 2012—May 2015)

A student-run, student-produced arts and culture show at the University of Texas at Austin.

Co-Executive Producer/Associate Producer

  • Oversaw all aspects of production, editing, talent contact, and content selection.
  • Scheduled coverage at major festivals, organized crews, and led training for a staff of 20.
  • Acted as crew leader for on location shoots by leading interviews, assigning crew duties, organizing equipment, and operating camera and sound equipment.
  • Edited interviews and show blocks using Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.

An Austin-based online entertainment and lifestyle publication.

Editor of Photography / Founding Member

  • Organized all coverage for staff photographers including scheduling articles, applying for press opportunities, editing content, and publishing photographer articles.
  • Attended events as a staff photographer and contributed articles to other content sections.
  • Collaborated to develop the publication’s image, mission, and staff.
